Cake flavors from Chapstick are a party on the go!

image_thumb[1]

d525b03fb5f1785d5ef3bc55ba600586My new obsession is Chapstick. With this nasty long dry winter I need it. Maybe it’s a combo of the weather and pregnancy hormones but I cant go anywhere without layering Chapstick on my dry lips. In November I introduced you to the limited edition holiday flavors. I know the running joke is no one can ever finish a tube of Chapstick before they lose it and I admit that was me too but the apple cider flavor was amazing and I made sure to never lose that one! In fact I ended up going through the whole tube (there has to be an award for that right?) and then scoured Walgreens to stock up before they were gone.

54616_CS-Render-CakeBatter Stick copy-resized-254616_CS-Render-RedVelvet stick copy-resized-2_0Now Chapstick as gone and done it again. This preggo is craving cake thanks to Chapstick’s new limited edition cake flavors. YUMMMM! Who wouldn’t love Velvet Cupcake and Cake Batter!!!!  It’s like a birthday party on your lips! LOL! I *may* have to pry the cake batter one from my 5yr olds daughters hands on a daily basis or just go out and buy a new one for myself. Either way these flavors are a big hit my my home. My guys both big and small love the Velvet cupcake one, and I don’t blame them its heavenly.

221852_10151286517839821_180151547_nI love that Chapstick thought of everything. They even put “To/From” tags on the back of the packaging so that you can give it to someone special. You could use the limited edition Chapsticks as a tag for a gift. Sadly these new varieties are only going to be available until around March 31, 2013. They will be sold exclusively at Wal-mart, CVS and Walgreens nationwide. I plan on buying as many as I can when I come across them.

For more information about Chapstick products please visit www.Chapstick.com. You can also follow the Chapstick on Facebook.

Party, party weekend

From time to time I host MommyParties. To learn more about them go here. As part of being a mommy party host I invite my friends and family over to try new products and then share the reviews here.

barbie_logo_smallThis weekend I hosted not one but two mommy parties! One was for the great new Mega Bloks Barbie line. This was a huge hit with the guests and my daughter, although I have to say my hubby spent more time building it than he does helping with the family chores Winking smile.

80229U_A-T1_HR_smallI was given 10 mini sets to give out to all the guests who came as well as the mansion and pool house for my daughter! All the girls (and one little guy) had tons of fun and days later my kiddos are still playing with them!

premama_box-163x300_thumb[1]The second one was for Premama prenatal vitamin mix. I posted my personal review of this product a few months ago. you can find it here. My guests had mixed feelings about this product and most say they would probably stick to their current vitamins.

I was given a pitcher and 5 boxes (a month supply each) to share with my guests. As well as a gift card to purchase drinks to mix Premama in.

A few of my guests trying out Premama in their favorite beverage -

Drinks on hand were- punch, apple, grape, and orange juices, tea, and water.

Overall it was a very busy weekend but everyone had lost of fun!!

Book Review: A Marriage of the Heart

_240_360_Book.723.coverA Marriage of the Heart, By Kelly Long
Book Description: Three Stories That Share the Adventures of First Love and Second Chances.
A Perfect Secret—Rose Bender’s betrothed, Luke Lantz, is safe and dependable, maybe a little too much so. Or so she thinks until she sees him in the woods one night and discovers a secret he’s been keeping. Now his secret haunts her. She wasn’t sure about marrying a man she knew too well. But should she marry a man she doesn’t understand at all?
Christmas Cradles—When Anna Stolis takes over for her aunt, the local midwife, Christmas night heats up with multiple deliveries, three strangers’ quilts, and unexpected help from the handsome and brooding Asa Lapp.
A Marriage of the Heart—Since her mother’s death, Abigail Kauffman has lived alone with her father. She longs to escape the emptiness of the farmhouse that has never felt like home. Joseph Lambert is a newcomer in their close-knit community. Only after suddenly marrying do they begin to understand the tender truths of life-long love.
My Thoughts: This was a great book for someone who loves Amish romance but doesn’t have a lot of time to read. With three short novellas you get to enjoy a good story that fits in your busy schedule. I personally love a good long book with a well developed plot and characters. I’m not saying this book doesn’t have that I just hate the rushed feeling all novellas have. Overall I give all three stories a thumbs up! One thing I enjoyed was that each story was unique and engaging it wasn’t just the same cookie cutter romance novel written three times with different names. I cant wait to read more books by Kelly Long. Hopefully a full length novel next time.
