Rubbermaid Reveal Mop Giveaway

If you’re in the market for a new spray mop, the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop is an excellent candidate. The Reveal Mop takes a hassle free approach at cleaning by using plush, washable, microfiber pads, and versatile, customizable, refillable solution bottles. It also features a spray trigger which eliminates the need to replace expensive batteries. If you want to save time and money, the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop is for you!

My Thoughts:
First off, let me just say, it’s going to be impossible to review this product without comparing it to the Swiffer® WetJet. That being said, I actually prefer the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop to the WetJet. The microfiber cloth picks up more dirt as it scrubs your floor. It also picks up a lot of the water, which means your floor dries much faster. With the WetJet, I’ve had problems with there being a film being on the floor afterwards, but not with the Reveal Mop.

Another thing Reveal Mop has over the WetJet, for all you eco-conscious people (of which I am one), the fact that it has a reusable microfiber cloth means you cut down on your waste, unlike the WetJet, which you “throw the mess away” with a chemical-ridden and now dirt-ridden paper cloth. The Reveal Mop’s microfiber cloths can be washed and dried in a washing machine up to 100 times before you ever need to replace it.

Let me tell you about the convenience of putting the cloth on the mop. With the WetJet, I’ve had problems with pushing the edges of the cloth into the little holes, and then, while mopping, the cloth coming off. I spent more time fighting with the WetJet than I did cleaning. With the Reveal Mop, the cloth attaches through a Velcro-like attachment. Just put the cloth on the floor, put mop on cloth, and away you go. Easy, and it doesn’t come off as you’re working.

Now, let’s talk cleaner. With the WetJet, you have to buy their brand of cleaner, use only their stuff, and spend a lot of money doing it. However, with the Reveal Mop, you fill the water bottle with plain water and, if you wish, whatever your preferred cleaning chemical is. If you want to use Pine Sol™, use Pine Sol™. Everything works.

Finally, with the WetJet, the chemical is released through the use of electronics. What happens if, in the middle of mopping, your machine just dies? You can’t finish the job and have to wait for it to recharge. With the Reveal Mop, it works like a manual spray bottle. You squeeze the trigger to release your cleaner. No recharging required, so no need to ever stop until the job’s done.

So, cleaning, convenience, and eco-friendly. Those are the words I would use to describe the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop. Every household should have one of these as it makes mopping easy and even fun.
