Busy, fun and crazy weekend!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Happy belated fathers day to all those dads out there and to those moms who have to be both mom and dad (you rock!).

We had more than our fair share of rain here and if it doesnt stop soon I swear nebraska will cease to be a state instead it will just be another great lake! Bad news is the 7 day forcast say's.... yup more rain!

Robert spent his fathers day doing what he loves. He played video games, played with the kids and in the evening taught Lorelai the joy of jumping in rain puddles (in other words he made use of the lake that was our parking lot.)

So one of the kids got into the excedrin migraine and after a frantic call to posin control we were glad to hear that other than a possiable tummy ache one pill cant harm them! Thank GOD!! (yes we are sure it was only one pill)

So my weight loss is now hit the dreaded plateau, I havent lost a single pound since i hit my half way point. I hate that!! The only good thing about it is at least I'm not gaining! I need new ideas to re-jump start my weight loss.

Now I know you all are on the edge of your seats wondering who won the giveaways so here it is.....

Clair won the Bepe Baby giveaway!
Kate won the U'neaks giveaway!
and last but never least
Kathy won the simple green!

Congrats winners i have contacted you and you have 24 hours to claim your prize before a new winner is chosen.

Weigh-in Wednesdays - Week 8

The chains of habit are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken. - Samual Johnson

Vincent Lombardi:
The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind you have to convince.

Thought all of us on our weight loss journey could use a little inspiration.

Down 12lbs! I'm getting there.

Wednesday weigh-in: week 5

Ok so I've decided to step up my weightloss plan. Instead of just whining about it every week, I've started to actually do something about it.

This weeks round-up:
I didn't do well at all I came to my realization at 11pm on Tuesday. Although Tuesday I did do really good and even got off my butt and went for a walk with my little man.

I have been suffering from severe depression and that really hasn't helped with getting me motivated towards anything especially getting up and active.

I vow to change that today. I restarted the 'my weight loss coach' and will be logging my daily steps and exersize. I'll try and update here as well.

Weigh-in Wednesdays week 4

Have you ever noticed that most overweight people have a good sense of humor when it comes to their size? It's a defense mechanism, I think, that comes with the added pounds. It's easier to laugh and joke with people about our weight than to stick up for ourselves.
Obesity has become the last thing that it's still PC to make fun of or judge. You can't discriminate by sex, race, or religion, but it's still OK to say - "Your too fat!" Airlines are doing it, jobs do it, and it's an all out target for strangers to attack larger people.

Last week, I shared with all of you my actual weight, even though I was embarrassed to do so. I want to be honest with you all, but at the same time, I've bared my self to your judgements and have lowered the humor wall. Be kind.

I stepped on my mother's scale this week and fell in love with the little liar! It first said 166lbs, then I stepped on it again it said 136lbs. LOL, I guess the key to her scale is to step on it 3 times and add the numbers together.

I haven't lost anything but I'm not giving up. Thanks for following along with my weight loss struggle.

Weigh-in Wednesdays: week 3

This week is just going to be a quick weight check. Nothing new with my diet.

My Previous Weight: Didnt know was just guessing Over 325 pounds

My Weight as of this morning: A depressing 344 (ouch!) This made me want to cry when I saw the actual number. I weighed myself on the clinic's scale when I took the little ones to their well child checks today.

Pounds lost: None!!

Pounds still to lose: 30 (short goal) on the path to a 100 lb goal.

Weigh-in Wednesdays: Week 2

Well things started off good this week. No change in weight but I'm very proud of myself for only cheating once this week. I couldn’t resist the London broil steak dinner from my favorite eatery Granite City. Oops I feel bad, but not too bad because it was so YUMMY!
I have started the Activia Challenge this week as well. I don’t really like yogurt but I’m giving it a go anyway. It’s a step I’m taking towards eating right. My dietary habits before consisted of me not having breakfast or lunch, but then snacking and having a huge dinner later in the evening. I thought that but cutting out two of my daily meals I was cutting calories and fat. So why wasn’t I losing weight? After starting ‘My Weight loss Coach on DS’ It has pointed out that even though I cut out a lot of food I have actually been harming my body and tricking it into storing fat instead of burning calories that I take in throughout the day. Who knew, UGH!
I will also be starting to step up my exercising soon. It’s just still too cold and icy outside right now but as soon as this arctic place begins to thaw I will be tracking my daily steps and logging them here. As I mentioned eariler this week I started my diet pills and they have given me tons of new energy and its already starting to pay off.

Because of the pills I've become more active which has actually helped improve my mood a bit as well. We dont own a real scale only the Wii and Wii fit plus. last week it told me I was too fat for it. Thanks for that, nintendo. So for now we will just go with an estimate and I promise that next week I will buy a scale.

My Previous Weight: Over 325 pounds

My Weight as of this morning: over 325 pounds (lol)

Pounds lost: Who knows

Pounds still to lose: A LOT!
(the short goal is 30 pounds long range goal is 150)

I think I made great progress this week and it's at a healthy pace. I am super happy with what I have started and please continue to follow me as I try to shed the pounds.

Weigh-in Wednesdays: week 1

nothing like having a game say your too fat! I am ?30+ lbs. No, you dont get to know what number the ? mark is. It wont mater in a few months anyway. (power of postive thinking in play here!)

Week on really consiteded of me doing the same thing I've always done, sigh. I didnt make any real big changes in my daily activities except cut back on the junk food and eating past a certian time. Check back next week and see if any poundage as melted away.

Weigh-in Wednesdays

Ok, I wasn't sure I'd want to join in Sadie's contest. Weight loss is a big deal to me and I wasn't sure I'd want to be held responsible for not making me goal :s. But seeing as how weight loss is on my goal list for 2010, why not get support from a few friends. I'm excided about it but also worried I will fail. I may not post every Wednesday about my weightloss or lack there of, but I will try to atleast once a month.

A little about my struggle. I've been obese (I hate that word!) since Jr. high school, 8th grade, I was 14 and gaining weight fast. I have asthma and couldn't keep up with my peers during recess when I was younger, and that fostered my fear/hate for physical education. By my freshman year of high school I was a size 30! OMG, as if your first year of high school isn't hard enough add in the fact that I was a HUGE fat ass! I had no friends. My mother decided that I should go on a diet. We went to my dr. and after talking with him and having the situation above finally out I was put on Phen-phen. Remember that lovely drug, it was recalled for people dropping dead of heart attacks? I lost 17lbs my first week on it! I was excited until I took a harsh turn to the other side of the weight struggle. By my sophomore year of high school I was thin, but too thin. I had stopped eating and sleeping, and was basically taking speed. I was anorexic, no one wanted to see it. Who wants to tell the previously fat girl 'hey your too skinny'. After that issue was addressed I was at my healthiest for about a year and a half. I want to get back to that. I was a size 16 and loved it! Yes for some a size 16 is huge, but for my frame it looks gorgeous! I had a healthy glow and was flying high.
Me at 17 -

Me now -

I've slowly gained the weight back. I'm not a size 30, but lets just say I'm close. I hope to lose a total of 125lbs, but my current short term goal is 30lbs.
My current weight loss plan consist of WII fit, My weight loss coach (for DS), eating healthier and another prescription diet pill.

I have started on watching what I eat and doing the weight loss coach and have already lost around 3lbs. I did take a weeks worth of the pills but they make my heart race and I couldnt sleep. I may try agian or contact my Dr. about it. Check back to see what I decided.
